Dr. Morrie Dubin
Dr. Morrie Dubin graduated from Northern Illinois College of Optometry in 1948 and established his practice in Berkley, Michigan the following year. Dr. Dubin specialized in the field of Children’s Vision, working closely with many educators to alleviate visually related learning problems. With his close association with the educational community, he also established an annual vision and learning conference where educators and Optometrists came together to explore the role of vision in the classroom.
Dr. Dubin is past-president of the Michigan Optometric Association and past chairman of the Michigan State Board of Examiners for the optometric profession. In 1985 he was named Optometrist of the Year for the State of Michigan and in 1990 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award, both by the Michigan Optometric Association.
For many years Dr. Dubin has treated patients with Binocular Vision Dysfunction, alleviating their symptoms through the application of prism. He is a welcomed addition to the professional staff of Vision Specialists of Michigan.
